How to Get Followers on Twitch
Jacob,Rams Record Editor

This is just a guide on how to get followers on Twitch, or to use as a guide for people who have misconceptions on live streaming.

Tip #1 STREAM OFTEN! A regular live streamer will stream as much as a full time job. Yes, I know what your saying. That’s a long time! Yeah this isn’t... How should I say, this isn’t just about playing games. You need to stream a lot because people don’t watch others for 1 hour and leave. No! No! No! If I leave a stream in the morning and I go to work or school I should be able to watch the stream later. If you don’t want to search the person up again because you’re lazy, you can just follow them.

Tip #2 INTERACT WITH YOUR WITH YOUR VIEWERS!!! Your viewers are gonna get bored if you don’t read the chat. That’s because it will make them feel special and part of the community. Personally I like to use two monitors. One for reading and one for playing the game. But do whatever works for you. Maybe even let them play a game with you.

Tip #3 KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING! You can’t just turn on a camera and play a game you have to make a title for the stream, make sure your game capture software is running smoothly, test your microphone. Nobody wants to watch a stream with nobody talking.

Tip #4 GET GOOD EQUIPMENT!!! Nothing fancy at the start though. You don’t need a $500 studio microphone a $1000 gaming computer and a 1080p camera. A camera is just so people can see your face expressions and be more connected. Just keep it simple maybe a $50 microphone like a Blue Yeti or a Blue snowball microphone. You don’t need the best computer just make sure the stream is at least 30 frames per second and is at least 480 or 720P (720,480,and 1080P are resolutions or how high quality a screen is). Extra points for 1080P. Thank you for reading and keep in mind I hardly have scratched the tip of the iceberg when writing this. So, if you want more info just look it up on YouTube.
