The Walk Against Breast Cancer
By:Allison M

The Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October the 18th, at the Memorial Field, in Concord raised  $466,871.00, to help find a cure for breast cancer. Anyone who could walk 3-5 miles teamed up to help raise money for this cause. Also, companies came and helped sponsor this event. In 2012, 1.7 million people were diagnosed with breast cancer. Twenty-five percent of those people were women. Student Council held a raffle to help raise money for this cause. The raffle was a beautiful quilt. Heidi Parker received the honor to take the beautiful quilt home.
