Jellyfish
by Grace, staff editor
Jellyfish are beautiful creatures. They are also dangerous. There are many different types of jellyfish. Some jellyfish are invisible, some glow in the dark or are very small. Not many jellyfish are deadly.
Did you know there are 23 jellyfish stings in 5 seconds. So there are 46 stings in 10 seconds. That means 92 stings in 20 seconds. That’s a lot of stings.
Jellyfish have been alive forever. I don’t mean one hundred years ago. I don’t even mean a couple thousand years ago. I mean since before dinosaurs. I mean forever.
Some jellyfish are immortal, they can grow younger. When they are threatened the go back to the stage where they grip the bottom of the sea. These jellyfish live can live forever.
A group of jellies is called a bloom. These blooms are not like flower blooms. A bloom can be dangerous if it is big.
When jellyfish wash up on shore they die. Sometimes people step in them. Though they are dead their stingers still work. So people still get stung.
Jellyfish don’t think of what they’re doing. They don’t think where they want to go or who they want to sting; they just do it. Jellies also can’t feel. They don’t feel sad when their children go away. They don’t feel happy when they catch their food. Jellyfish are just floating blobs in the ocean.

Jellyfish can't feel anything. They don’t care when they sting you. They can barely even feel anything! They don’t have a brain or heart.

250-Acre Solar Power Plant, Shaped Like a Panda?
Ryan A., Rams Editor
Recently a solar company in Hong Kong just finished creating a 250-acre solar farm that resembles a panda. As of right now China is in the lead in investing in energy that can be renewed. The panda that has been recently built was planned to just provide power to northwestern China, yet a second panda is planned for later this year. In 25 years the power plant will be large enough to produce 3.2 billion kilowatts of energy. With all of these solar power plants coming into use the carbon emissions will be reduced by 2.74 million tons. I can barely believe it, can you?

Patriots Super Bowl LII
Champions?
By:Caleb May

The New England Patriots’ legendary quarterback, Tom Brady, has many new weapons to work with. One of the weapons would be 5’ 10”, 185-pound wide receiver Brandin Cooks. His total career stats include: 215 receptions, 2,861 yards and 20 touchdowns. In the backfield the Pats added running back Mike Gillislee who at 5’11” and 218 lbs has 154 carries for 865 yards, and 11 touchdowns in his career.

With Julian Edelman out for the season, due to an ACL tear, Cooks, Chris Hogan, Danny Amendola, Dwayne Allen and Gronkowski all will need to step up in their roles. Along with the receivers the backs will need to step up. The Patriots have depth at the running back position, with Gillislee, Dion Lewis, James White, Rex Burkhead, James Devlin, Brandon Bolden, D.J. Foster, Glenn Gronkowski, and LeShun Daniels. All of these players are strong.

But will they make it?
